It’s already December—if you can believe it—and for many of us, this year has shifted the way we dress, go about our day-to-day, and catapulted us into creating a new normal for ourselves. I started noticing the shift with some of the influencers I follow soon after we all started to shelter-in-place back in March. Outfits became more casual; bags became irrelevant; the one wardrobe staple that remained was a trusted pair of jeans.
I’ve scoured the internet over the course of the better part of this year to find ways that I could make the most of the situation this year. While I was shopping for jeans on AG, I saw that they defined what I was looking for as a Bespoke lifestyle, or in their words, “specifically made for a particular person”. To me, this meant that there was a chance to take this year as a blank slate and create new habits for myself that I otherwise would not have to make my life truly mine. There are five influencers who I’ve been following religiously this last year who truly embrace this idea of a bespoke lifestyle: Grece Ghanem, Amy Lefévre, Jen Azoulay, Sabrina Mohamed, and Madelynn Furlong. These well-dressed women have proven that one can still look *high* fashion even when wardrobe choices are pared down to the basics, and have allowed themselves to take this year and tailor it to make it their own. I got in touch with each of them to chat about style in 2020, how denim fits into their day-to-day, and how they’ve created their new normal.
