How to Shop Winter’s Favorite Accessory Trend, From $10 to $360

I know I’m a fashion editor and all, but I hate getting dressed in the winter. That doesn’t mean I don’t love a good layered ‘fit. The end result is what brings me joy, but it’s the process that I dread. Turning off your alarm and leaving the warmth of your blanket is something I just don’t find appealing. But despite everything about winter, there’s been something that’s been motivating me to get all dressed up every time the cold weather comes around: my fun, warm, knitted scarves.

I went to college in New York City, and I still remember wrapping a thick printed scarf around my neck and pairing it with a coat (that I bought from Who What Wear x Target, ironically) and feeling like the main character in a movie. It also doubled as a blanket when I sat in class, so it was a win-win. I still own that scarf to this day because it’s something that just happens to pop back up every winter (and for valid reasons).

They’ve gotten even more popular, thanks to the iconic plaid scarf by ACNE reaching Gen Z and blowing up on TikTok. As much as I think a winter scarf is worth investing in, I understand not everyone can shell out $290 on one, so I searched through the depths of the internet to find the best winter scarves that’ll take any outfit to the next level.

Below, you’ll find all the fun (and warm) scarves in whatever price range you prefer, from $12 to $290. Just don’t leave this one at your ex’s sister’s house like Taylor Swift. (If you know, you know.)

I bought this one recently and try to wear it on any occasion I can. It makes any outfit look cool.

The scarf the internet can’t stop talking about, and rightfully so.

This one is giving me holiday vibes.

A black-and-white scarf can be paired with a lot of looks.

I predict this one will sell out quick.

If neutrals are more your thing.

Okay, I know this one isn’t printed, but how fun is this shade of green?

With four colorways to choose from, you have great options.

Burberry pieces are wardrobe staples.

Who knew orange and blue would look so good together? Also, for $14, this is a good deal.

Portable blanket!

If you like this one, wait till you see the other prints it comes in. (Spoiler alert: there’s a mushroom one.)

Another ACNE scarf for good measure. I think I’m slowly convincing myself to buy one.

This would look great over a cream sweater and leather jacket.

Pastel dreams.

If you’re not one for bright colors.

And one if you are into color.

The colorful logos, though.

This one’s on the thinner side, but just as cute. Plus, you might as well get the whole matching set.

These colors are dreamy.

If you’re into bold branding.

Primary colors always pair well together.

I know this one is sherpa, but I had to include it for how cool the print looks.
