The story behind Camila Alves McConaughey’s success as a model, entrepreneur, and founder is a true testament to the power of believing in yourself and never giving up on your goals—no matter what they may be. Moving to Los Angeles from Brazil at the young age of 15, McConaughey always knew she was destined to make a difference and follow her dreams. By 19 years old, McConaughey quickly found success in her career as a model through editorial work, ad campaigns, and on the runway, which took her on journeys worldwide, from France and Italy to Israel and Africa—and beyond. Years into her modeling career, McConaughey tapped into her entrepreneurial spirit. Her first venture was a line of luxury handbags called MUXO that she designed alongside her mother in Los Angeles. A decade later, McConaughey became a partner at the frozen organic baby food brand Yummy Spoonfuls, dedicated to fostering healthy and clean eating. Through years of experience, observation, and cultivation, McConaughey has become an in-demand lifestyle expert, hosting the Food Network’s Kids BBQ Championship, and Bravo’s Shear Genius, and guest judging on Chopped Junior.
In 2015, McConaughey launched Women of Today, an amalgamation of her career thus far. Women of Today is a community and lifestyle website with the mission to welcome women, lend support, offer guidance and mentorship, and share stories—from cooking recipes and beauty secrets to community events—to show that women are not alone on the journey. As a dedicated mother, entrepreneur, and lifestyle expert, McConaughey created this platform for women to honor community values, embrace differences, and ultimately learn to do good for themselves and those around them.
