Time for an investigation.

Because we’re living in the Age of the Reboot, there have been a lot of ~rumors~ lately about The Office returning to our TVs.

Last summer, the chairman of NBC Entertainment revealed in an interview that he wanted a reboot to happen, saying that the show has an “open invitation” to come back.

And this December, there were reports that a reboot was finally going to happen. Those reports were never confirmed by NBC, but sources did tell the Hollywood Reporter that the network was at least “eyeing” a revival.

With all this chatter going around, LOTS of Office cast members have been asked whether they’d take part in a reunion. It’s basically the first question they get asked in interviews now.

Jenna Fischer: Wants a reboot.

“I think the idea of an Office revival is — I think it’s a great idea,” she recently told reporters at a TCA panel. “I would be honored to come back in any way that I’m able to. I loved playing that character, and as long as Greg Daniels is the person in charge and the visionary behind it, then I would absolutely be up for it.”

John Krasinski: Wants a reunion, maybe as a Christmas special.

“I think the UK thing that I always have pitched and wanted to do is that Christmas special thing, where we do a Christmas special this year and then two years from now, or three years from now, we do another one,” he told IndieWire. “I love that idea — coming back, finding out where everybody is. I would totally be down for that.”

Rainn Wilson: Open to some sort of reunion.

“I think everyone feels the same way. If the timing is right, if the idea is right then we’d love to do something,” he told CinemaBlend.

Mindy Kaling: Would definitely want to be involved somehow.

“I loved working on the show and I was there for eight years. I think that if Greg Daniels, who did the American version of the show, if he were to be in charge of it, I can’t imagine that I wouldn’t wanna help out in some way, or write,” she said on The Talk.

Angela Kinsey: Here for it.

“I would do it. I would bring that little feisty accountant right back. I’d be so excited,” she revealed to People.

Phyllis Smith: Thinks it’s a great idea.

“I think it would be a really great idea. I haven’t heard anything. It was such a joy to work with those people, so any time they want to pull us back together, I’d be on board immediately,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

Ed Helms: Says he’d do it.

“Hey, sign me up. I’d be there in a second. I miss those people so much. I miss that whole world. It was just such a fun, fun universe,” he told E!.

Craig Robinson: Ready for a reboot.

“Anything to do with The Office I would revisit,” he told IB Times.

Creed Bratton: Would do it, but with some reservations.

“Yeah, I guess if they approached me [and said], ‘Would you like to do the Creed character?’ — why not?” he told Bustle, adding: “If there were all these younger kids and some of us old characters still there…would they get the magic? It’d be doubtful, but it could happen.”

Steve Carell: It’s gonna be a “no” from him, dawg.

“I don’t want to be a jerk about it, but I think people who like the show originally would want it to come back exactly the way it was, but that could never happen…” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I kind of don’t want to do it because I love the show so much. I think people would be disappointed, I really do.”

As sad as it would be to have an Office reboot without Steve Carell, it’s also not TOO surprising — he left the series a few seasons before it ended, and his character had a pretty perfect sendoff.
