Halfway Into the Summer, And I’m Still Buying Into These Trends

When it comes to buying clothes for the season, there are the early birds and the procrastinators. The early crowd already has their seasonal staples weeks before it actually begins, meanwhile procrastinators like to shop in the midst of the season. There are pros and cons to pledging to either side, but if you happen to fall into the latter, you’ll want to pay close attention.  If you haven’t planned properly for the summer, there’s no reason to throw in the towel yet—so many sales are kicking off right now that it’s actually beneficial to be late to the party. And if you’re worried that it’s too late to properly wear them with only a few months of summer left, my advice is to stick with the most practical trends to ensure a high cost per wear. Halfway into the summer, I’m still banking big on some trends that I’d argue are worth the buy even now. To view my complete list of the top trends I’d consider a smart investment keep scrolling.

The modest cousin of the mini skirt is still on the rise, and it hasn’t even reached its apex. With that said, it’s a smart staple not only because of its versatility, but it will also transition easily into colder temperatures.

White tanks with a twist are everywhere these days, and it makes perfect sense—they’re exceptionally easy to style. Even though it’s a big trend right now, it will always be “in” for seasons to come.

Matching sets are practically all I wear right now, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s such an easy outfit that’s guaranteed to look amazing every time, plus you can whip them out for any vacation.

I always whip out a corset top when I want to look fancy, and the allure of the piece also has a hold on the fashion crowd. The piece has serious staying power, so even if you don’t wear it a lot this season, you definitely will the next.

Tailored trousers aren’t strictly for the summer by any means, but they’re having a bit of a moment by fashion standards. Since they’re a year-round staple, it’s wise to stock up on them now.
