An innocent 20 year old man from Desoto Texas was killed in cold blood, and his killer is facing the death penalty. And it’s all because of a FAKE Facebook rumor, MTO News has learned.
DeSoto Police said Camran Kashawn Collier, 19, was found shot to death in the his car last Thursday.
Three days later, at a “balloon release” ceremony held in Camran’s honor, one of the attendees, Kolby Marquise Graham, 20, of Lancaster, was shot in the head by another participant.
Why was Kobly shot dead? Well, MTO News has learned that Kolby had been mistakenly identified as Camran’s killer on several Facebook postings. Police investigated the rumors, and concluded that Kolby was NOT involved in Camran’s death.

“We believe if this information about Kolby being the shooter of Camran had not been so passed on and gone viral on social media he would not even shot,” said Cpl. Pete Schulte of the DeSoto Police Department.
And you won’t believe who Kolby’s shooter was – Norman Christopher Collier IV, 22, Camran’s brother.
Camran’s brother mistakenly believed the internet rumors about the identity of his brother’s killer – and then took revenge against the wrong man at his brother’s balloon release ceremony.
Desoto Police told MTO News that Camran’s murder is still unsolved.
