Every Way We're Styling COS's Chic Cashmere Jumper This Winter

Every autumn, I begin my hunt for the perfect cashmere knit. I don’t rush the search though, because, as with all of life’s greatest luxuries, finding the right cashmere knit is an act worth taking your time over. After all, something as special as a piece crafted from cashmere is the antithesis of fast fashion—choose it wisely and look after it well and it’ll last you a lifetime. Shed and harvested only in early spring by the cashmere goat, cashmere’s steeper price tag is due to its rarity and supreme softness, as well as its insulating qualities.

Turns out, I didn’t have to look too far in my search for luxurious cashmere items this year, as right under my nose lay the cashmere jumper of my dreams, at none other than my favourite high-street brand, COS. At £150—which falls on the affordable side of cashmere—and a colour selection comprising deep black, navy blue, chocolate brown and postbox red along with others, I couldn’t keep this discovery to myself.

Inspired by my new favourite clothing item, I’ve laid out all the ways I’ll be styling the jumper this season and beyond. Read on to shop my edit of the perfect cashmere jumper and every way to wear it.

Style Notes: With a crisp white tee and low-rise baggy jeans, the soft cashmere jumper pulls together a casual look that can be dressed up with chic jewels and kitten-heel boots.

Every wardrobe needs a failsafe black jumper.

In my opinion, this is the perfect white tee.

Low-rise jeans are an enduring trend this season.

Kitten-heel boots will see you through the colder months in style and comfort.

This necklace can be knotted in whichever way you please.

I’ll be finishing off all my party outfits with these statement earrings.

Style Notes: Double down on the frills and style a Peter-Pan collar peeping out of the red knit along with a larger-than-life scrunchie. Inject a cool edge with a pair of grungy biker boots and one of this season’s favourite bag shapes, the croissant.

Red knitwear is a growing trend for this winter.

Peter-Pan collars layer so well underneath warm knits.

The perfect linen trousers.

Stow away your essentials in this chic little croissant bag.

The biker boots of dreams.

Make your slicked back hair look stylish.

Style Notes: This chocolate-toned knit styles so well with a peachy silk skirt. The contrast in textures adds a luxurious feel to the outfit, which is further refined by the clever use of accessories.

The perfect deep brown shade.

This silky slip can be styled year-round with strappy sandals in the summer and knee-high boots in winter.

I’m swapping out all of my high heels for kittens this season.

Layered necklaces instantly elevate a look.

For their durability and sleek finish, I’ll keep coming back to patent leather handbags.

Statement earrings are my favourite evening-ready trick.

Style Notes: As the weather cools down, the cashmere jumper truly comes into its own. On a brisk weekend morning, snuggle into your favourite knit and throw on jeans, a classic trench and a warm scarf for an easy, weekend-ready outfit.

A navy jumpers is a winter-weather must-have.

White jeans looks great with just about everything.

Nothing completes a casual outfit like an oversized trench coat.

Double up on the cashmere and style your jumper with an equally soft scarf.

Gold hoops are always the answer.

Cool, casual and so very comfortable.
