Just this week I felt it happen: that subtle, but significant shift from fall the winter. While we’ve been blessed with a beautiful fall here on the East Coast, this week ushered in the first taste of mandatory coat weather so I think it’s safe to say that the time has come to get serious about our winter outerwear game. The first order of business? Coat shopping.

Now, before you plunge yourself into an internet rabbit hole in search of a style you actually want to wear, I’ve gone ahead and done the legwork for you. In the interest of staying within my own budget, I turned to my favorite retailers Zara, H&M, and Mango who always stock the best affordable winter coats every season.
