Drake Issues Statement On Astroworld Deaths

Drake has finally broken his silence about the Astroworld Festival tragedy last week.

He released a statement on his Instagram page:

“I’ve spent the past few days truing to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy,” he wrote.

“I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself. My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all.”

Drake was also named in at least one million-dollar lawsuit filed against Travis Scott and Live Nation. Drake was accused of helping to “incite the crowd that night,” with his performance. It was also recently announced that one of the victims was just 9 years old. The child is currently in a medically induced coma.
