Canadian rapper Drake has announced that he will be postponing the release of his Certified Lover Boy album he was forced to have surgery following a knee injury.
“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote via Instagram Story. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”
Drake injured his knee back in October but has not released any information as to the specifics of his injury. His fans think the rapper may have torn his ACL — but he has not confirmed or denied this.
One Twitter user wrote, “Little information about Drake’s injury: he tore either his medial or lateral meniscus which is a fibrous cartilage in between the femur and the tibia and fibula bones of the leg.” @Ovosyndicate continued. “Healing time could take up to 3 or 4 months, but bc he has surgery could take less time.”
