The man who has accused Don Lemon of sexual assault says the CNN commentator tried to pay him off.
“If this was about money, I would [have] taken any of the three separate settlement attempts he’s offered me,” Dustin Hice told Fox News.
Lemon’s attorney Caroline Polisi told the news outlet that Lemon offered “to settle Mr. Hice’s claims for a nuisance value of $8,000,” and Hice “demanded” $1.5 million to keep quiet.
JOE BUDDEN ACCUSED OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT
In 2018 Don Lemon was accused of sexually assaulting a man in court. The case will head to court in 2022.
“[Lemon] put his hand down the front of his own shorts, and vigorously rubbed his genitalia, removed his hand and shoved his index and middle fingers into Plaintiff’s mustache and under Plaintiff’s nose,” the lawsuit reads.
“Lemon intensely pushed his fingers against Plaintiff’s face under Plaintiff’s nose, forcing Plaintiff’s head thrust backward as Defendant repeatedly asked Plaintiff ‘Do you like p*ssyy or d*ck?’ While saying this, Mr. Lemon continued to shove his fingers into Plaintiff’s face with aggression and hostility,” the suit continued.
“Don categorically denies these claim,” a CNN spokesperson said at the time. “The plaintiff in this lawsuit has previously displayed a pattern of contempt for CNN on his social media accounts. This claim follows his unsuccessful threats and demands for an exorbitant amount of money from Don Lemon.”
