“Dancing with the Stars” has unveiled its Season 23 cast and as expected, it includes two Olympians, several actors, a singer and a former Governor.
Ballroom pro Val Chmerkovskiy has been paired with one of the Final Five gymnasts – Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez.
“I’m her biggest fan,” Val said as the two were paired up on “Good Morning America,” where the cast announcement was made on Tuesday.

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte will cha cha cha with returning pro Cheryl Burke, who last appeared in Season 19.
“I miss my family,” Cheryl said on “GMA,” when she made an appearance on the morning show. She also joked she missed the “DWTS” spray tan.
Former Texas Governor Rick Perry is part of the cast, paired with Emma Slater, according to “GMA’s” Twitter page, where the pairings were revealed on Tuesday morning.
Model and talk show host Amber Rose will team up with returning pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
“Brady Bunch” alum Maureen McCormick will take on the ballroom with Artem Chivintsev.
Vanilla Ice will attempt to waltz his way to mirrorball glory with pro Witney Carson.
Actress Marilu Henner has been paired up with six-time “DWTS” mirrorball champ Derek Hough, per “GMA.”
Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds is teaming up with recently-returned pro Allison Holker (who took last season off as she welcomed her son, Maddox, with husband Stephen “tWitch” boss.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is also competing, paired with Lindsay Arnold.
“Little Women: LA” star Terra Jolé also joins Season 23, and she is paired with Sasha Farber.
Former “The Fosters” actor Jake T. Austin takes on the ballroom with Jenna Johnson.
Racecar driver James Hinchcliffe, who recently competed in IndyCar, has been paired with Sharna Burgess.
Finally, country music star Jana Kramer has been partnered with Gleb Savchenko, per the “GMA” Twitter page.
The new season of “DWTS” will premiere September 12 at 8/7c on ABC.
