Pop singer Britney Spears this week told a court that she wants to charge her father, Jamie Spears, with “conservatorship abuse.”
“I would like to charge my father with conservatorship abuse,” Britney told the court according to CNN. “I want to press charges against my father today. I want an investigation into my dad.”
The singer reportedly said, of her conservators, “they were trying to kill me,” adding, “If this is not abuse, I don’t know what is.”

Britney’s attorney spoke to reporters after the hearing.
“Jamie Spears should be removed as conservator because it is in [the] best interest of the conservatee,” Mathew Rosengart said outside the courthouse. “We will be moving promptly and aggressively for his removal. The question remains, why is he involved? He should step down voluntarily because that’s what’s in the best interest of the conservatee,” he added.
Weeks back, Britney claimed that her father forced her to be on lithium and to have an IUD installed. She says he wont let her have another baby or take days off.
