BREAKING: Christopher Williams Suffers MYSTERY Blood Clots . . . In Hospital!!

R&B singer Christopher Williams was rushed to the hospital yesterday, after suffering from what people close to him are calling “blood clots,” MTO News has learned.

News of Christopher’s illness hit social media last night – when Chris’ longtime friend Al B Sure told fans that the R&B singer was “in a coma.”

Christopher’s team stepped up to dispel the rumors, retorting that the singer is not “in a coma.” Instead, they told fans that Chris is “in stable condition and resting comfortably.” Look:

MTO News spoke with a close friend of Christopher’s who told us that they have been told Chris’ hospitalization is a result of “blood clots.” The insider did not speculate as to how or why the otherwise healthy singer was stricken with the disorder.

There has seemingly been a rise in the number of celebrities stricken with blood clots lately. Last month, talk show host Marc Lamont Hill disclosed that he was hospitalized after suffering from blood clots. Former NFL star Deion Sanders is also believed to have suffered from blood clots, after minor foot surgery.

According to the CDC, blood clots are a serious, growing public health issue that everyone should know about. Blood clots are preventable, yet an estimated 900,000 Americans are affected each year by a blood clot, resulting in nearly 100,000 deaths.

If blood clots are not treated, a part of the clot can break off and travel to the lungs, causing a blockage in the lungs called a pulmonary embolism (PE). A PE can cause symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, coughing, coughing up blood, and irregular heartbeats.

It is important to seek immediate medical treatment when experiencing any of these symptoms. Only a healthcare provider can diagnose and treat a blood clot with medicine or in rare cases, surgery.
