Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson has tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Secretary Carson has tested positive for the coronavirus. He is in good spirits and feels fortunate to have access to effective therapeutics which aid and markedly speed his recovery,” his deputy chief of staff Coalter Baker said in a statement. “He is resting at his house and is already beginning to feel better.”
According to reports, Carson attended an election night party where almost every other attendee was not wearing a mask. White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and four others in Trump’s circle tested positive last week.
JEEZY TALKS DONALD TRUMP
The White House is still refusing to take the virus seriously despite Trump and his family coming down with the virus.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, a close ally of Trump, has said he has been avoiding the White House since August “because my impression was their approach to how to handle this was different from mine and what I insisted that we do in the Senate, which is to wear a mask and practice social distancing.”
