Beautiful Atlanta Newscaster Jovita Moore Dies Of MYSTERY Brain Cancer

The beautiful and talented Channel 2 Atlanta newscaster Jovita Moore died today, seven months after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, MTO News has confirmed.

Back in April, doctors discovered two masses on Jovita’s brain. After surgery, the physicians diagnosed her with a deadly form of glioblastoma, or brain cancer. It is extremely uncommon, especially for women Jovita’s age.

Glioblastoma has an incidence of 3.21 per 100,000 population. Median age of diagnosis is 64 years and it is more common in men as compared to women.

Jovita had a long and impressive career in the news business. Before coming to WSB-TV, she spent time on the air at WMC-TV in Memphis and KFSM in Fayetteville and Fort Smith, Arkansas. 

She came to WSB-TV in 1998 and moved to the main anchor desk in 2012.

Jovita, 52, is survived by her mother, her two wonderful children and stepdaughter, who she called the most important accomplishments of her life.
