After DC revealed that their new Superman would be bisexual, actor Dean Cain, who once starred as Superman in a 90s TV series, says its too far.
“They said it’s a bold new direction, I say they’re bandwagoning,” Cain said.
In the November 9 issue of Superman: Son of Kal-El, Superman will get into a relationship with reporter Jay Nakamura.
“It’s hard for me to keep track of all the different Supermen and the different worlds and adventures that he has in the comics,” Cain said.

“Robin just came out as bi — who’s really shocked about that one? The new Captain America is gay. My daughter in [the TV series] ‘Supergirl,’ where I played the father, was gay,” Cain continued. “So I don’t think it’s bold or brave or some crazy new direction. If they had done this 20 years ago, perhaps that would be bold or brave.”
