And the badass ranking, which will be on a scale from zero to five Badass Lukes, five being the most badass.
Get ready to feel a lot of feelings…

Admiral Ackbar
This one hurt, especially since he didn’t get the final moment we all know he deserved. In the context of the movie, it wasn’t super sad. In the context of our nostalgic hearts, it was pretty tragic. Although, it was kind of badass that he ~technically~ died in a trap.

Captain Phasma
Ugh! If you’re like me, you felt robbed by this one. Phasma was HIGHLY underutilized in The Force Awakens, and sure enough, she was hardly onscreen at all before meeting her end in The Last Jedi. That being said, her fight with Finn was pretty cool, and getting to see Gwendoline Christie’s beautiful eye was a nice perk.

Supreme Leader Snoke
Sorry haters, but this moment was AMAZING. Snoke was no one’s favorite character, and seeing him get murdered by BEN SOLO was cool AF. The last time someone got cut in half in the Star Wars universe, we were pretty disappointed (think of how much better Attack of the Clones would’ve been with Darth Maul). I know some people were mad we never got a Snoke backstory, but we never knew much about the Emperor, either (until the prequels).

Elite Praetorian Guards
Okay, so we don’t know who any of these guys really are, but their deaths are worth mentioning because this entire scene was EPIC. Hands down, the coolest moment in the movie was when these guys were picked off one-by-one by Rey and Kylo. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the fact that this brutal fight ends with a guard getting a lightsaber THROUGH THE FACE.

Paige Tico
We never really knew Paige, but she was undeniably a hero. Her death scene was intense and kicked off the entire film. We all held our breath as she barely caught the detonator, and felt for Rose when she cried about the loss of her sister. For someone who only had one scene, it was pretty HARDCORE that she singlehandedly destroyed the Dreadnought.

Vice Admiral Holdo
Sure, we’re pretty sad that we (probably) won’t be seeing Laura Dern again, but at least she went out with a bang. I’ve seen The Last Jedi four times and, without fail, Holdo’s death gets the best crowd reaction every time. Putting the ship into hyperdrive and jumping through Snoke’s ship at lightspeed was the epitome of BADASS.

Luke Skywalker
There’s a lot of controversy surrounding this one, but I personally think it was handled perfectly. Luke went out like a total BOSS. Sure, it was sad, because a piece of our childhood floated away with Luke on Ahch-To. However, his final moments were awesome: seeing Leia, winking at C-3PO, and ultimately making Kylo feel like a damn child– HERE FOR IT. Besides, there is NO WAY he’s not coming back as a force ghost.
