“The Voice” has named its Season 11 winner.
Country crooner Sundance Head was crowned the hit singing competition’s Season 11 champion Tuesday night, marking the fifth win for coach Blake Shelton.
The 37-year-old Texas native beat out runner-up and former child star Billy Gilman from Adam Levine’s team for the title. Powerhouse vocalist We McDonald from Team Alicia Keys, and country artist Josh Gallagher, also from Team Adam, finished in third and fourth place, respectively.
Tuesday’s two-hour finale episode featured performances from music superstars including The Weeknd, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars and more. Sundance closed the show with a celebratory performance of his original single, “Darlin’ Don’t Go.”
The victory increases Blake’s lead as the “Voice” coach with the most wins — Adam is close behind with three. However, both music stars are the only coaches to have remained on the series throughout its entirety.
Last season, Christina Aguilera became the first female “Voice” coach to have a winning team member when Alisan Porter took home the top honor.
