Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Anti-Jeans Trend That’s About to Dominate All Summer

Summer isn’t even here yet and already, Jennifer Lawrence is on her way to creating the perfect warm-weather wardrobe for 2023. From baggy jeans and sold-out sneakers to floral minidresses and naked shoes, the actress has yet to debut an outfit since the temperatures turned up that’s gone on to disappoint us. Her latest, however, might just take home the cake.

On Mother’s Day, Lawrence and her mom were spotted in NYC’s West Village neighborhood following a midday nail-salon date. For the occasion, the mom of one chose an all-white ensemble, including a cropped, short-sleeve tee and matching drawstring linen trousers, both from Leset. She finished off the look with a bucket hat, sunglasses, a crossbody bag, and simple, black sandals. Though the outfit as a whole felt right at home in the warm weather New Yorkers have been experiencing this week, one aspect of it was particularly perfect for summer. All over TikTok, Instagram, and more are white, linen pants just like Lawrence’s, leading us to believe that they’ll be a major wardrobe essential post Memorial Day. Before they really take off (and therefore, sell out), shop our favorite takes on the anti-jeans trend below.

On Jennifer Lawrence: Leset Margo Cotton Cropped T-Shirt ($68) and Yoko Cargo Pants ($220)

The tapered fit on these is too good to miss.

A classic choice.

For the plane, the beach, the pool, and more. Basically, these are the ultimate summer-vacation trousers.

Don’t sleep on Gap’s summer basics. They’re too good.

Who doesn’t love a paper-bag fit?

I’ve been eyeing these for months and feel like it’s just about time for me to go for it.

Duh.

I love the styling of these. *Adds to copy folder.*

Yes, these really are only $20.

My finger is hovering dangerously close to the buy button right now.

Hello, Nordstrom sale.

A fun alt if you’re big into cargo pants lately.

Faithfull the Brand has long been my go-to for summer sets like this one.

The wider the leg, the better, if you ask me.

You know you want to buy these so you should—period.

And now, the luxury pair you should buy if you’re looking to splurge a bit.
