I cannot wait for it to be spring in New York City. This winter has felt longer than most, and while I love a good cashmere sweater and boots just as much as the next person, I’m officially over dressing for winter. To get out of my winter fashion slump I have been searching for great spring outfit inspiration. This spring, I want to be really intentional about my shopping and styling. No more off-the-wall trendy pieces that I’ll look back on and cringe at. This season, it’s all about finding versatile pieces that fit well and feel like me. After lots of browsing, from TikTok to Instagram to my fellow Who What Wear editors’ stories, I found five looks that are so easy yet stylish and meet all my criteria. I found everything from looks that are perfect for a first date with my potential new spring fling to vacation outfits you’ll love so much that you’ll book a trip just to wear them.

This is the season of the midi skirt. Whether you’re opting for a denim option or a classic black skirt like Emily above, adding this skirt just elevates an outfit. Imagine if Emily was wearing this exact look with just a pair of pants. Of course, she would still look fabulous, but the skirt adds that extra oomph. In my opinion, we’ll be seeing fashion people re-creating this simple yet elevated look all season.
The best thing about spring/summer fashion is that you can so effortlessly start introducing color back into your wardrobe. Every fall and winter, I tend to lean toward a neutral color palette, but the second it gets warm, I reach for a bold-colored dress. Pair it with sneakers, sandals, or heels.
This look, to me, is the ultimate low-key cool-girl look. It’s perfect for the weekend, and you can put it together with the clothes you already have in your wardrobe, which is the best. Adding a cool jacket to simple loose trousers and a cropped top feels stylish without trying too hard. I love it.
You really can never go wrong with this look. It’s perfect for drinks with friends, dinner dates, brunch… You name it. There’s just something about a mini or short hem paired with high boots that feels sexy and cool.
Who doesn’t love a two-piece set? It’s the most foolproof look of them all, and it’s easy, chic, and always a fun look for a daytime event or a vacation. I could live in monochromatic two-piece looks.
