I’m Making Every Winter Outfit Cooler With This Jewelry Styling Trick

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I have classic style. I continue to gravitate toward looks that are sleek, a touch trendy, and versatile enough for multiple occasions. This season, there are plenty of pieces speaking to my style senses, but what I’m loving even more is the jewelry I can style with my looks.

Simon G. is an L.A.–based jeweler with a collection of stunning engagement rings and wedding bands, but it also has pieces that work for the everyday. The stackable rings caught my eye—not only because of how incredibly sparkly they are but because I knew they’d enhance my classic wardrobe, too.

Stacking rings isn’t a groundbreaking idea—it’s a styling choice that fashion editors often turn to when our looks need a bit more oomph. This trick is sparkly, delicate, and super easy to accomplish. Simon G. has a slew of classic and sleek stackable bands, and I love that I can mix metals to make each stack feel like me. While I’ll always opt for a classic outfit, when it comes to ring-stacking, I like to break the rules and wear silver, gold, and rose gold together. Below, I’ve styled a few of my typical outfits for you, but none of them are complete without the addition of a sparkly ring (or two or three) on my finger.

Stripes have been the print of the season for the fashion set, and this cropped variation is my next purchase. It’s very French, especially when worn with of-the-moment ballet flats. A neutral outfit like this one helps create a blank slate to let your triple-stacked ring set up make a sparkly statement.

I’ve been wanting to get on the lug-sole trend for some time now, but rather than opting for a boot this season, I’m going for a chunky Mary Jane and styling from my feet up. Vests have been trending for a few seasons, but I’m here to declare that they’re officially a staple in every fashion person’s wardrobe, especially when styled with a chunky cardigan and a pair of sleek, vegan-leather, wide-leg pants. Adding a dainty stack to this already bold look, like a double gold variation, is the perfect finishing touch.

It’s giving “edgy-girl era,” and I’m here for it. All-black outfits have been buzzing this season, with tall rider boots and oversize blazers taking center stage. But there’s a fine line between a sleek ensemble and borderline-boring one. To avoid any outfit flops, consider adding a touch of sparkle with your accessories.

On the other hand, if an all-black look is definitely not your thing, consider adding a splash of color to a neutral look by way of a statement knit. Of course, an elegant chunky multi-metal ring stack will balance out a look chock-full of trends—denim maxi skirt and Western-inspired boots, anyone?—like this one.

And when all else fails, a go-to casual outfit with a touch of trend is the way to go. A ribbed-knit dress styled with an oversize tote and sneakers can go from casual to chic with the addition of dainty stackable rings with square and oval settings.
