Hailey Bieber Just Shared Her Date Night Makeup Routine—Here’s Every Item

Date night makeup means something different to everyone, but there are a few defining characteristics that most of us can agree on (or at least we think so). Usually, a date night makeup look is made up of soft and sultry eyes with a glowing complexion as a base. It’s an art, and it’s safe to say that Hailey Bieber has mastered that art. The multi-hyphenate model, influencer, and brand founder just shared her 12-step date night makeup routine on YouTube. True to form, she creates a “fresh and glowy” complexion after prepping her skin with skincare products from her namesake brand, Rhode. Then, for makeup, she goes the monochromatic route, choosing to use a single berry-colored product on her eyes, lips, and cheeks. (We love a good multi-use moment.) It’s a foolproof formula for creating the perfect date night makeup look every time. Keep scrolling to see all 9 essential items.

“This concealer is super beautiful and creamy and gives just that right balance of coverage without feeling like too much. It also really feels like it’s buildable.” She uses the shade 11C, dotting it only in specific areas, like under her eyes, around her nose, between her brows, and on her chin.  She also uses it to draw a line on either side of her face, from the corner of her mouth out towards each ear. This adds definition to her face without the need for contour. Actually, it’s kind of like a reverse contour. “It just does a little something,” she says. “I feel like I say that every time I do this.”

Even though this is technically a highlighter, Bieber uses this to “bronze up” her face. She uses the shade Brûlée, and instead of applying it straight from the stick, she swipes a brush over it before adding it to her cheeks, nose, and the perimeters of her face.

While Bieber doesn’t share the exact bronzer she uses in the video, it appears to be a cream formula, like this one from Chanel. She puts some onto a brush, wipes it off on her palm, and then applies it to her cheekbones, jaw, and neck, making sure to blend well.

I don’t think I could do without creamy blush for the rest of my life,” Bieber says. “I just love the way it sits on the skin.”  She uses this blush duo in a brick-red shade on her cheeks, eyes, and lips for a monochromatic look. “I’m really, really into this color blush and lip for fall.”

Next, Bieber brushes up her brows with this classic brow gel. She opts for her trademark fluffy brow look instead of a bold, defined brow. “I feel like I’ve said this before, but I’m not big on doing my brows,” she says. “I usually just brush them up with product.”

“I have used this highlighter stick for years,” Bieber says. While this product has been discontinued, you can still snag it at a couple of retailers, but we suggest acting fast and getting it before it’s truly gone. Otherwise, you can get a similar creamy texture and icy finish from the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer ($38).  She goes over the areas she just placed highlighter with Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid ($29). This is currently sold out on the brand’s site, as are all their other products, but you can join the waitlist to be notified when they restock.

Once she curls her lashes, she applies a couple of coats of mascara. “I love this one,” she says. “It has a super fluffy brush.”

After mascara, Bieber applies powder to certain areas of her face—in the areas where she feels like “it needs to be sealed in.” While she doesn’t dish on the which powder she uses, eagle-eyed viewers might recognize the BareMinerals compact she holds.

The final step is a coat of clear lip gloss. Bieber uses the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment ($16) in Salted Caramel. But seeing as it’s sold out, you can get a similar glossy finish from this non-sticky gloss.
