One of the reasons I study celebrities’ outfits so carefully (besides because it’s my job) is so that I can see if they’re wearing any of the latest It items. And if it’s a celebrity that’s into fashion, oftentimes they are. And depending on the celebrity, if something isn’t an It item just yet, they can set it over the edge and make it one.
With all of the fashion weeks and film festivals that have taken place lately, celebrities have been spotted all over the world dressed to the nines, and I’ve been on It item lookout. My findings show that the bulk of the celeb-approved It items are accessories and shoes, and some have been around a bit longer than others (i.e. Rihanna’s Balenciaga Cagole bag, but with a new twist).

Giving the Cagole bag a run for its money, Balenciaga’s latest big handbag launch is the Lindsay. If you’re into the moto trend that’s happening this fall, you’ll love this shoulder bag.
On Elsa Hosk: Helsa Einer Cashmere Cardigan ($348) and Einer Cashmere Midi Skirt ($298); Ugg Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boots
And just like that, Ugg has another sell-out shoe on its hands. The brand was wise to take its bestselling Ultra Mini boots and give it a 2022 twist with the trend-forward platform.
On Kendall Jenner: Bottega Veneta earrings, dress, and Sardine Metal-Handle Intrecciato-Leather Bag ($4200); Polo Ralph Lauren Cotton Chino Ball Cap ($45); The Row shoes
Bottega Veneta’s latest luxe It bag features a sculptural metal handle that elevates its signature woven leather even more (which most didn’t even think was possible).
On the more affordable end of the spectrum, this hat has been selling out and I can see why. It adds a preppy cool-kid factor to any outfit it’s paired with. For example, Jenner’s outfit was already impeccable but the hat gave it even more personality.

Wilde is clearly a big fan of the Adidas x Gucci Gazelle sneakers, as she’s been wearing them all over the world lately. If I had them, I would too.
On Rihanna: Supreme shirt; Balenciaga jeans, sunglasses, and Small Le Cagole Denim Shoulder Bag ($2600)
Balenciaga’s Cagole bag has obviously been the It bag for the entirety of 2022, and the brand has been releasing updated versions for fall, including this crystal-adorned denim version, which Rihanna recently carried.
On Katie Holmes: Ulla Johnson top and skirt; Khaite Davis Leather Knee-High Boots ($1200)
Khaite excels in the boot department (among many other things), so it’s no surprise that Khaite fan Katie Holmes wore these. Given how trendy knee boots consistently stay, they’d be a wise investment.
On Anne Hathaway: Gucci dress, shoes, and Blondie Bag ($3600)
Another big It bag of 2022, the Gucci Blondie bag was seen on the arm of new fashion star Anne Hathaway a few months ago. If you want to look more glamorous in an instant, this is the bag for you.
On Zoë Kravitz: Saint Laurent Icare Maxi Bag ($4400)
Perhaps the largest (literally) It bag of the year, Saint Laurent’s Icare Maxi tote has quickly become a celebrity favorite. As you can see, it’s a statement-making style that’ll get you spotted from a mile away.
Khaite’s Dallas boots aren’t new anymore, but they’re still constantly selling out.
More than a year after its release, I’m still obsessed with this bag.
