CNN anchor Don Lemon reportedly fell to his knees after he heard that Chris Cuomo had been suspended indefinitely by the network.
“Shortly after Chris was made aware of the indefinite suspension CNN’s communications offices issued a press release. Don Lemon, Anderson Cooper and all the other anchors and staff at the network found at about the news at almost the same time as everyone else,” a source told RadarOnline.
“The entire staff was emailed the statement minutes before it all released externally. There was shock and sadness but also a sense of justice that CNN had done the right thing. It just goes to prove that even a Cuomo is not about the rules.”

New documents released on Monday showed that Cuomo was closely involved in helping his brother Andrew Cuomo defend himself against allegations of sexual misconduct.
“When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother’s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly,” a CNN spokesperson said in a statement. “But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second.”
“However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation.”
