Twitter Schools Matthew Modine on His Absurd Kyle Rittenhouse Slam

Actor Matthew Modine of “Full Metal Jacket” fame takes his craft very seriously.

He told an interviewer for Collider last year why he’s so careful about his performances.

“When you stand on a stage, when you’re projected onto a motion picture screen, the things that you do and the things that you say will have an impact on those people’s lives,” Modine said.

He takes his Twitter feed a bit less seriously.

The “Stranger Things” star shared a series of questions tied to the Kyle Rittenhouse case on the social media platform. The now-18-year-old shot three people at the height of the Kenosha riots, killing two and injuring one. The teen’s claims of self defense appear solid according to court testimony.

That hasn’t stopped the Left from calling him a white supremacist killer, without evidence. Media coverage has been atrocious, with MSNBC anchors doing the most damage to the truth.

That may explain Modine’s stance on the high-profile trial. Consider this Tweet as Exhibit A that he got his talking points from Fake News outlets.

The actor got a swift response from the post, mostly from people eager to educate him on all the mistakes made in that single Tweet.

Modine isn’t the only celebrity to attack Rittenhouse without the full set of facts at their disposal. Stars like John Cusack, Dave Bautista, Vincent D’Onofrio, Rosanna Arquette, George Takei and Katy Stoll similarly slammed on social media.
