Delonte West Pleads Not Guilty To Obstruction Charges

Former NBA guard Delonte West has pleaded not guilty to charges of obstruction/resisting without violence, open container and disorderly intoxication.

The incident went down in Boynton Beach, Florida in October.

West was reportedly banging on glass doors at the Boynton Beach police department lobby while yelling obscenities and homophobic slurs. Reports also say that he was holding two open containers of alcohol.

West then walked away from police and was ordered to place his alcohol containers on the ground. After complying, the police reports state that he reached for his waistband. A cop then pulled out a Taser and West “continued to be belligerent and screaming profanities and obscure rants” while he was placed in a patrol car.
