Mark Zuckerberg Apologizes For Facebook, WhatsApp & Instagram Outage

Mark Zuckerberg has apologized for the Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram outages on Monday.

“Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger are coming back online now. Sorry for the disruption today—I know how much you rely on our services to stay connected with the people you care about.”

Facebook also apologized via Twitter:

“To the huge community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we’re sorry. We’ve been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report they are coming back online now. Thank you for bearing with us.”

The services faced outages worldwide. Some people have said that Zuckerberg should not be able to own all three social media platforms and Monday’s outage makes a strong case for why it should not be allowed to happen.

The outage reportedly reduced Zuckerberg’s net worth by almost $6 billion.

According to Bloombergh is net worth dropped from $121.6 billion to $117 billion.
