Rapper Tory Lanez was taken into custody this morning, after police say that he violated a protective order against Meg The Stallion, according to social media reports obtained by MTO News. He’s allegedly has been given no bail – and may serve the next 20 years behind bars.
A California state judge ruled last month that Tory Lanez violated his restraining order when he performed at Rolling Loud on the same night as Megan Thee Stallion In July.
As a result, Lanez’s bail was initially temporarily increased from $190,000 to $250,000 — which he paid. Tory faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted, and he’s not expected to see the light of day until after his trial, MTO News learned.

At the time, the judge told Lanez, “You’re very fortunate that you have the means to post bail immediately” and warned that the “Say It” rapper, 29, will be remanded into custody if he violates the order again.
Last night, the 29-year-old tweet out an ominous message that read, “It’s been real.” He then proceeded to delete all the photos from his Instagram account.
During today’s hearing, social media reports claim that Tory was taken into custody, and his bail was revoked. It’s not clear why the judge may have changed his mind – and took Tory into custody.
Megan was first granted a restraining order against the “Say It” rapper in October 2020, three months after he allegedly shot the Houston native in the back of her foot. The protective order also prevents Lanez from commenting on the shooting.
He pleaded not guilty in November 2020.
