I’m a Fashion Editor and a Mom—I Personally Approve of These 3 Fall Outfits

Between breakfast, early morning meetings, dressing my 2-year-old daughter, Sophie, and setting up her activities for the day, sometimes all I want to do is pull on a pair of sweats and call it a day. To be honest, sometimes I do, but this season, the trends are so strong that they’ve inspired me to toss the sweats to the side and put on real clothes

This season has it all: oversize blazers, shoulder bags, and Western-inspired dresses that make me feel like a fairy. But when selecting outfits I could wear on repeat, it was important to make sure my clothes would be comfortable enough to move with me as I juggle my lifestyle. Once again, Saks OFF 5th did not fail me, and I found everything I was looking for and more. I frequent the fashion-forward retailer not only because it offers up to 70% off the best brands every day, but also because it has an incredible kids section. But this time, I made it a point to shop for myself, and it only made sense to head there when updating my fall wardrobe.

What’s better than an oversize blazer, boots, and flare jeans? A shoulder bag, actually, that fits everything from my wallet to a spare toy. This outfit makes me feel like I’m in control of my morning, so I’m going to start my Mondays off in this exact look.

The quality of the blazer is *chef’s kiss.*

Yeah, these are $20 and extremely stretchy. Mom or not, you need these jeans.

I laugh every time I see micro bags because as much as I want one, I know it would never work for me. I love this shoulder bag because it gives me the early-2000s vibes I’ve been craving and has enough space for me to stow all my stuff in.

The almond-toe shape of these boots gives me Western vibes, but my favorite thing about this ultra-luxe pair is how comfortable they are.

Speaking of Western vibes, I’m digging this dress for date night after a long week of the working-mom life. I’m bringing my boots and bag along for the ride, which makes the outfit feel extra polished and only took me five minutes *max* to style.

Trust me—this dress will go the extra mile for you.

Ultra cozy and ultra stylish, this classic sweater-and-midi-skirt look is now a mainstay in my weekly outfit rotation this season, especially for those mid-week play dates with my friends and their kids. Another trend I’m keeping an eye on is incorporating shades of brown, which is why I picked up a heathered oatmeal cashmere sweater and a micro leopard-printed skirt.

So lightweight and soft—a steal at this price.

The pleating adds a touch of trendiness, but it also makes the skirt extremely billowy and comfortable to wear.
