While I consider myself an expert shopper (it is basically my job after all) shopping at Nordstrom, in particular, is my forte. It’s not something you master overnight, but once you get the hang of filtering through all the SKUs and zero in on the brands that are your favorites, finding exciting fashion gems start to become second nature. One brand I often find myself repeatedly hitting up Nordstrom for happens to be our in-house collection of accessories.
In preparation for fall, a brand new lineup of Who What Wear Collectionshoes has hit the retailer, and dare I say it’s better than ever. There’s a little something for everyone in the assortment: from soft as a cloud shearling flats for the cozy-minded, to stylish tall boots you can actually walk in without bringing a backup pair of shoes (trust me, I’ve been there). Also in the mix: cool flats that are just downright pretty. Not that I need a real reason to shop online anyway, each style is pretty affordable as well, which also sweetens the deal. As a recent L.A. transplant, I’m taking full advantage of the warmer fall season, which means I’ll be wearing sandals and tanks until the wheels fall off. These gorp-y sandals somehow feel appropriate for the transitional weather, without being too covered up.
Once it gets cooler, I plan on styling the shearling version with some fun, graphic socks.

But for when you really are in for a long day on your feet, a flat boot like this is practical yet elevated. Wear it with jeans for a casual vibe or with a tailored suit.

If office life is in your future (or is already your reality), you’ll want to take note of these heeled mules. Dressy enough to be a bonafide work shoe, yet not too over the top that they’re a struggle to walk in.
To likely no one’s surprise, combat boots are on my priority checklist of fall essentials. While I love my Doc Marten Jadon boots, these have a slicker more streamlined look that I love for skirts and dresses.
And of course, a minimal flat like this is highly necessary for the fall. Chocolate brown has been trending for a minute, and it’s an equally sophisticated alternative to black.
