Rapper Yung Bleu explained why he gifted Boosie Badazz $100,000.
The video of him gifting the rapper the money went viral. Boosie appeared to be shocked.
“Boosie supported me from the jump,” Bleu told The Undefeated.
“So it was a gesture to express my appreciation for believing in me at a time when no one else did. Our relationship is more than business, it’s family. Boosie is really my big bro and he’s been supportive of all the moves I’ve made to build my career.”
Bleu was offered another deal with Boosie’s label but passed. In an interview months back, he explained why.
“We really like family so it’s like, it’s more than the contract…. Whatever I said I’mma do, I’mma still do,” he said on The Breakfast Club. “A lot of people can’t relate to that because it’s strictly business with the people that they do business with. Me and Boosie… [he] like my big bruh.”
He said Boosie understood that he had to make other moves to make it big. “They try to bring back stuff that I said and stuff like that just to get him to say something but, like, I really be around Boosie,” he said.
