Los Angeles-based comedian Fuquan Johnson has died, MTO News confirmed, along with two other people. The three died of an apparent drug overdose at a party.
The 42-year-old funnyman and the other victims are believed to have unwittingly ingested fentanyl-laced cocaine during a get-together in Venice late Friday.
Comedian Kate Quigley, who lives next door to the house and recently dated the Hootie & the Blowfish singer, was hospitalized in critical condition, according to the report.
The medical examiner will officially determine what killed Fuquan and the other unnamed victims, but sources tell the outlet all four people were ingesting coke tainted with the super powerful opioid.
Fentanyl, a synthetic painkiller that is up 100 times more potent than heroin, has been a factor in the deaths of Prince, Mac Miller and Tom Petty.
The LAPD is investigating who supplied the killer doses.
The initial report came from TMZ.
