4 New Fall Basics That Will Make My Wardrobe Feel Up to Date

I’ve been strategically going through the new fall collections and trend offerings to identify those pieces that could be worth mixing into my rotation. I tend to select those items that are not only fashion-forward, but versatile and will hold strong for more seasons than just one. So naturally, it’s those trend-ish items that routinely pique my interest.

On that note, that are currently four next-level basics that I’m going for. It’s these items that I think could actually make my wardrobe feel even more up to date given their modern feel. One of the said pieces? Yep, dark-wash jeans. I’ve always been a fan of black denim and have been into light-wash jeans lately, but it’s those darker silhouettes that are very of the moment. You’ll find more on that, along with the other trendier basics I love below. And yes, there’s a range of shopping inspiration and styling ideas from some of my favorite fashion people as well.

Cardigans are always a go-to for me. This season, I’m all about those elevated and unique picks. This style from our Who What Wear collection, for example, is chic and cropped. I’m also personally into extra-long styles for something different.

I’ve highlighted oversize shirts a few times in various recent stories. Yep, because I’m just so into the style. A button-down shirt is a timeless basic and the relaxed fit is forward and modern.

Like I mentioned above, I’m considering adding a pair of dark-wash jeans into my rotation to freshen up my denim offering.

Chunky knits just scream fall. Cable-knit sweaters will be especially relevant this season for extreme cozy vibes.
