A judge quickly shot down a request from R. Kelly’s legal team to grant him bail until his trial begins.
“You’re going to have full access to Mr. Kelly,” the judge told his lawyers. Kelly has applied for bail several times and has been denied each time. During R. Kelly’s last trial, it was alleged that he was continuing his crimes throughout the trial, recruiting young women outside of the courthouse.
R KELLY LOSES IT IN INTERVIEW
Kelly is charged with commanding an enterprise of managers, bodyguards and other employees who helped him recruit women and underage girls for sex. Federal prosecutors say Kelly picked out his alleged victims at his concerts and other venues and arranged for them to travel to see Kelly.
Kelly faced similar charges in 2002 for child pornography in Chicago. He was acquitted in that case in 2008. The disgraced singer is again, denying all of the charges against him. He says his alleged victims are liars.
