Britney Spears’ Co-Conservator Leaves Because Of Father’s Alleged Abuse

After hearing the testimony of Britney Spears last week, Bessemer Trust, the firm hired to oversee Britney Spears’ coin, has walked away.

They claim they did not know the conservatorship was not voluntary.

“As a result of the conservatee’s testimony at the June 23 hearing, however, Petitioner has become aware that the Conservatee objects to the continuance of her Conservatorship and desires to terminate the conservatorship,” Bessemer Trust said, per the Times. “Petitioner has heard the Conservatee and respects her wishes.”

#FreeBritney has been a hashtag for years. How they did not know the conservatorship was not voluntary is a mystery.

Earlier this week, a judge refused a request to have Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, removed from the conservatorship.

“The conservator’s request to suspend James P. Spears immediately upon the appointment of Bessemer Trust Company of California as sole conservator of estate is denied without prejudice,” court documents read per Variety.

Britney is still fighting for her freedom.
