Rapper Biz Markie is not dead despite several reports claiming the Hip-Hop legend has died.
“Folks, @BizMarkie has NOT died. I have been in contact with sources who are texting and talking to his wife. My source talked to Biz TODAY. Per his wife, Biz HAS NOT passed away. Please stop responding to non-credible sources. This hurts the family, friends and fans,” Roland Martin tweeted.
Biz has been battling health issues for a while. In April, Big Daddy Kane headed to The Breakfast Club for an interview where he revealed that Biz Markie’s health is improving and that he’s in rehabilitation after suffering from a stroke.

“He’s in rehabilitation now. He’s getting better and stronger every day. Last time I talked to him on the phone — he got a real light voice — last time I talked on the phone. He stuck his middle finger up at me, so I think he’s coming along.”
