Pop singer Britney Spears has issued a statement days two days after her conservatorship audio went viral.
“I just want to tell you guys a little secret ? … I believe as people we all want the fairy tale life and by the way I’ve posted … my life seems to look and be pretty amazing,” Spears wrote.“… I think that’s what we all strive for!”
She added, “I’m bringing this to peoples attention because I don’t want people to think my life is perfect because IT’S DEFINITELY NOT AT ALL …”
She also included a quote, “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
In her speech to the court, she said that she wanted to have control over her life.
“All I want is to own my money … and for this to end … and for my boyfriend to be able to f*cking drive me in his car. And honestly … I want to be able to sue my family … I have an IUD in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby and my conservators won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out. I wanna be able to get married and have a baby.
“… I deserve to have a life. I worked my whole life. I deserve to have a two- to three-year break and do what I need to do. I feel ganged up, I felt left out and I feel alone. I deserve to have the same rights as anyone does by having a child and a family. Any of those things,” she said.
