10 Specific Things Every Fashion Girl Will Wear on Vacation This Summer

If it seems like all anyone can think about or talk about lately is summer vacations, you’re not the only one that’s noticed. We’re all excited to get out there and safely travel again. I, for one, have been busy searching for items to pack for several upcoming trips and have come across quite a few pieces that I know will be in every fashion girl’s Instagram post that accompanies a faraway geotag.

If you’re wondering which accessory, swimwear, dress, and shoe trends are on the horizon for summer 2021, travel photos are a great way to find them, as we usually pack our freshest pieces for trips (or is it just me?) So whether you’re headed to the beach, the mountains, the desert, or the city, it might be helpful to read this prior to making your packing list.

Scroll on for the 10 specific things fashion girls will wear on vacation this summer, and shop my picks for each.

The bucket-hat trend is well-known at this point, and it shows no signs of slowing. Plus, I’m here for any extra sun protection I can get.

Bubblegum pink is poised to be the biggest swimwear trend of the summer. Read all about it here.

Y2K-inspired jewelry that nods to something you may have made in middle school is only going to become more of a trend as the weather heats up. Mark my words.

Fun fact you may already be aware of: Miniskirts are the biggest skirt trend by far this year, and they’re made for a fun vacation night out.

Like it or not, people are wearing heels again—in particular, fun heels in saturated hues. (Even better if they’re paired with other bright colors.)

Many of the biggest trends of summer 2021 are all about showing some skin, and what better place to do that than on vacation?

Fashion girls love crop tops, period, so you can put money on the fact that they’ll be packing them for every trip this summer.

If you’re wondering what the next big sunglasses trend is, I predict it’ll be wraparound sunglasses like the ones your mom might’ve owned in the ’80s. There’s already strong Instagram evidence, so you may just have to trust me.

Camp shirts are easy and cool, and they make for a great complement to bike shorts or a bikini. The more oversize the better.

Perhaps the prettiest trend of the bunch, white eyelet (particularly in the form of tops and dresses) is timeless and sweet. It’s a thing every summer, but noticeably so this summer.
