British Grime rapper Solo 45 filed an appeal after he was sentenced to the rape and imprisonment of several women — but in a shock twist of events — the judge decided to increase his sentence by six years.
Solo 45, whose real name is Andy Anokye, was found guilty of 21 rapes, five counts of false imprisonment, two counts of assault by penetration and two of actual bodily harm at Bristol Crown Court last July.
After the hearing, the solicitor general, Michael Ellis, said: “Anokye’s crimes were truly shocking. “The Court of Appeal’s decision to increase his sentence recognises the severity of the abuse he inflicted upon his victims and the danger he poses to the public.”
‘FOR LIFE’ TRAILER
During the trial, it emerged that Solo 45 is a sadist. The London native reportedly received sexual pleasure from torturing the women by water-boarding, interrogating, assaulting and raping them. The rapper denied the allegations and claimed that his antics were part of consensual role play, or a game he played called “Catch me, Rape Me.”
