50 Cent: Cancel Culture Targets Straight Males

Rapper 50 Cent isn’t afraid of Cancel Culture.

The veteran star says the only way the social justice mob will “cancel” him is if he does something truly awful, likely involving law enforcement.

50 Cent shared that attitude during a new interview with the far-left Variety.

“I’m an entertainer, so to entertain is, I believe, to provoke emotion,” Jackson told Variety‘s Andrew Wallenstein. “…I don’t believe I can be canceled. They gotta go to jail to get canceled, they gotta shoot a girl,” he said, possibly referencing rapper Tory Lanez’s alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. “You gotta do something extremely bad to be canceled, and I think it’s so unfair to the people that are canceled.”

That final sentiment is … confusing, to say the least.

The rapper proved far more cogent later in the conversation. His comments, though, may inspire a fresh round of Cancel Culture hand-wringing, assuming the rapper cares.

“If you say something about someone who chooses something different, there’s organizations set up to start sending things around to get signatures and stuff. And tell me this, as a heterosexual male, who’s going to send things around to get signatures based on your failures? There’s no one. There’s no organization,” Jackson said. “Certain demographics have been conditioned because they’ve been taken advantage of in the earliest stages. Once inferior, now they’re superior because we have no organization. The biggest target is heterosexual males in general.”

Celebrities generally bow to Cancel Culture in recent years. Many, like Jimmy Fallon of “The Tonight Show” fame, apologize without reservation. Superstars, including Halle Berry and Scarlett Johansson, share full-bodied apologies when Cancel Culture types question their casting decisions.

A few buck this trend. Among the stars refusing to follow the Cancel Culture rules? Ricky Gervais, Bill Burr, Adam Carolla, Dave Chappelle and John Cleese.
