Let’s talk about dresses, one of my favorite subjects. I find myself wearing (and buying) them a lot this time of year, as it’s too hot for anything else (besides a swimsuit). But I also reach the point this time of year in which all I want to shop for is fall items—hence the reason I’ve been in the market for dresses that I can wear both now and as the temperatures (finally) start to turn.
There are a lot of dresses out there so I’m narrowing my search to three retailers that have lots of great summer-to-fall dresses: J.Crew, H&M, and Nordstrom. When shopping for dresses that can transition between seasons, I usually look for prints or colors that can work for either and also styles that can easily be layered according to the weather.
