11 Outfit Trends We Spotted All Over NYFW’s Street Style Set

We’ve given you the roundup on the best trends to come from New York Fashion Week, but you know everyone’s favorite part of fashion month tends to be the street style moments. While digital collections have come and gone in the past year, it’s the fashion set taking to the streets that we have missed the most. It’s like a fashionable Instagram feed, but IRL. As we headed to the shows this season, we took notes of the outfit trends popping up around us from tailored vests to crochet knits. It may not exactly have been the most perfect fall weather (It hit 90 degrees on some days) but that didn’t stop anyone from pulling out their favorite fall pieces.

Below, you’ll see the standout outfit trends spotted all over New York last week, and how to shop the look for yourself this season. We’ll be checking back in with you for every fashion week, so there’s only more to come.

It wasn’t exactly fall weather, but that didn’t stop everyone from pulling out their best leather separates, and more popular matching sets. I witnessed a lot of coordinating leathers on the streets—I even wore one myself. It’s easy and looks forward.

Comfort was still a priority for many, with tonal knits galore. Take style notes from Noor and pair them with accessories that come in the same hue.

We told you a while ago that vests were the suiting trend taking over in the fall, and the street style this season proved that point even more. While I spotted some vests on it’s own, most were donned with it’s matching pant.

Another simple yet classic outfit fashion folk can’t get enough of.

The knit dresses spotted this past week weren’t your average ones. I’m taking split cutouts and cool colorways. The best pairing with one? Your favorite pair of fall boots.

While a sweater looks great tucked into jeans, midi skirts were the fashion favorite during NYFW. They hit at the perfect length to show off your favorite tall boots—plus dare I say skirts can be more comfortable than jeans?

A clog is the “ugly” shoe everyone can’t get enough of, and I don’t blame them. Pair with a midi dress for a cool juxtaposition.

Tall, chunky boots are popping up on the market and the fashion set has been hopping on board. A great way to contrast the chunky boot is to wear an oversized blazer and top and show off a little bit of leg. I spotted this plenty on the New York Streets, whether it was an oversized button-up, a mini dress, or a large top and cutoff shorts.

There was no shortage of funky pants this season, and the easiest way to wear one was to pair with a simple and toned down knit, so the loud print has its time to shine.

Sometimes it may be hard to find suiting n a matching set, so opting for similar hues is okay too, as proven by the style star above. Either way, a suit in matching colors is a powerful look.

Crochet may have been a summer fashion favorite, but it’s coming down into the fall as everyone’s favorite light knit. I spotted a lot of crochet and fun knit tanks paired with comfy jeans, making for a comortable yet fun look.
